Chemical Engineer / Senior Chemical Engineer

As a Chemical Engineer, you will perform engineering and technical tasks supporting nuclear plant operations, with a focus on core chemical engineering fundamentals, nuclear plant chemistry, corrosion, chemical process control, reaction kinetics, electrochemistry, chemical thermodynamics, and metallurgy.

Dominion Engineering, Inc. (Dominion), an Allied Power division is seeking an engineer with 0 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, including those graduating by August 2026. 1. Performs chemical engineering calculations
2. Prepares technical reports
3. Develops high quality communication exhibits (graphs, charts, presentations)
4. Prepares and executes laboratory test procedures

• Ability to pass a drug screening test and background security investigation
• Authorized to work in the United States

• Work in an office and laboratory environment
• Overtime and non-standard work hours as required
• Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment
• Substantial footwear must be worn.
• Climb stairways, ladders, and work from aerial equipment
• Work in and around rotating equipment, high voltage electrical equipment, high noise areas and elevations
• Daily work expectation requires ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, and climbing (up to 25 pounds) in position above and below head, and extended from body to complete repairs
• Lift, carry, position and use tools and/or equipment (weighing up to 25 lbs.) 
• Ability to twist the body and neck while driving company vehicles or operating company equipment
