About

Dominion Engineering, Inc. (DEI) provides innovative field service equipment and technology that help nuclear utilities and operators improve plant performance and reliability, and increase the efficiency of refueling outages, decommissioning and waste management activities.

OUR CLIENTS

Our clients are the focus of our business. Below are a few of the organizations we are proud to work with:

OUR MISSION

We believe that nuclear power is vital to maintaining our quality of life and protecting the environment through the continuous generation of clean, reliable power. Whether we are supporting the development of advanced reactor designs, ensuring safe and reliable long term operation of existing nuclear power plants, or developing creative solutions for complex decommissioning and waste management challenges, we are passionate about providing value-adding technical products and services to our clients to ensure sustainable and cost-effective delivery of nuclear power technology worldwide.

OUR HISTORY

DEI’s founders began their careers as technical advisors under Admiral Hyman G. Rickover in the US Naval Reactors program, and the company remains firmly rooted in principles of technical rigor and integrity. Founded in 1980, DEI began as an independent technical consulting firm to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective design, operation and maintenance of nuclear reactors.

Due in large part to innovative solutions developed from prior consulting projects, DEI’s business has expanded to include a strong portfolio of value-adding equipment and tooling products for nuclear reactor services. A number of these products have challenged conventional approaches to nuclear reactor maintenance and waste management, and have translated to substantial savings for nuclear utilities and operators.

While the design and delivery of specialized field service equipment and technology now represents a substantial part of our business, each project begins with a consulting approach, including application of multi-disciplinary engineering fundamentals to ensure the technical issues and requirements are fully understood. We then strive to exceed our clients’ expectations through the development of hardware, software and process solutions that are innovative, yet practical to implement.
