    Mr. Arguelles is an expert in mechanical equipment design, drawing from a wide range of technical expertise, including: ultrasonic cleaning, filtration, fuel inspection and leak detection, stress analysis and mitigation, automation and remote tooling deployment.

    Mr. Arguelles is recognized across the industry for his ability to solve complex technical challenges in new and creative ways through the design and delivery of equipment and field services that are both innovative and practical to implement. His signature design style has become a hallmark of DEI field services and products, which have substantially changed the way utilities perform nuclear plant maintenance activities, translating to greater efficiency during outages and substantial cost and schedule savings.

    Mr. Arguelles is responsible for the development of DEI’s high efficiency ultrasonic fuel cleaning and AMFM regenerable filtration technologies, and associated equipment and system designs. As DEI’s Product Development Officer, he actively participates in the development and design of new DEI field service products and oversees the delivery of specialized field services to nuclear utilities globally. He also regularly consults with nuclear utilities to develop custom tooling and field service solutions for unique technical challenges, and also supports nuclear utilities and service suppliers by providing independent design reviews for specialized equipment and tooling being developed/deployed by other organizations.

    Mr. Arguelles is a listed inventor for 29 U.S. and foreign patents. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and is a previous winner of MIT’s 2.70 robotics competition.
