Mr. Vines is a seasoned industry professional with a broad background across several key functional areas of industrial operations. Mr. Vines joined DEI in 2019 as a Consulting Engineer and the company’s Director of Business Development, supporting efforts to resolve nuclear industry challenges in addition to developing strategic growth opportunities and client relationships with a focus on US utilities and Federal services clients. He has been engaged with introducing innovative solutions and developing execution plans to resolve complex waste retrieval and handling scenarios, addressing fuel reliability challenges associated with debris and foreign material intrusion, and developing and delivering specialized cleaning and decontamination applications.
Prior to joining DEI, Mr. Vines worked for several engineering and technical services firms in the nuclear industry, including AECOM, Enercon, Toboloski Watkins Engineering, Inc. (now part of Structural Integrity Associates), Day & Zimmerman, BWXT and four US utilities. His roles in these prior positions have included plant operations and maintenance, plant engineering, project and risk management, procurement and contracts, technical oversight, and business development both nationally and internationally.
Mr. Vines holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State and an MBA from the Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business. He is a veteran of the US Navy.
