Mr. Dougherty joined DEI in 2019 after 5 years of experience in mechanical product design and application support and technical project management. During his time at DEI, he has focused on delivery and technical application support for specialized equipment and tooling for nuclear reactor services, which incorporate patented DEI technology. This includes systems for ultrasonic cleaning and decontamination of nuclear components and regenerable filtration for the spent fuel pool and reactor cavity filtration and vacuuming activities. His role in these projects has included design and analysis of mechanical equipment and components, coordination of equipment fabrication, assembly and qualification, and customer application support prior to and after equipment delivery.
Mr. Dougherty holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining DEI, he held mechanical engineering and project management positions with Temple Allen Industries and Baker Hughes, where his responsibilities included new product design, development and delivery, remote and on-site application support for clients, and project management and finance.
