    EXPERTISE

    • Design/build of custom field service hardware and experimental test facilities, including: Fluid delivery and filtration systems, Robotic vacuuming tools, Process instrumentation and control systems, Ultrasonic cleaning and decontamination equipment, High-pressure autoclave chemical test facilities, Electrochemical corrosion monitoring systems

Mr. Luszcz is an expert in the design and delivery of specialized field service equipment for nuclear power plants. He has worked on custom hardware design efforts for a wide range of applications, including: robotic vacuuming equipment, fluid and filtration systems that incorporate DEI’s patented AMFM regenerable filtration technology, electrochemical corrosion monitoring equipment, a biological waste treatment system, and various cleaning and decontamination systems (chemical, ultrasonic, and hydraulic). Mr. Luszcz has also spent extensive time on-site at nuclear plants in the US, Asia, and Europe providing technical oversight and support during the implementation of DEI field service activities.

Mr. Luszcz has also designed and built a variety of custom experimental test facilities, including complex autoclave facilities for accelerated environmental degradation testing and qualification of nuclear field service activities such as cleaning/decontamination operations and processing of transuranic waste sludges. These designs have included both large- and small-scale test facilities for which Mr. Luszcz has designed and integrated electrical distribution, process instrumentation, control software, and data acquisition systems.

Prior to joining DEI, Mr. Luszcz worked for Lockheed Martin Federal Systems and General Electric Power Systems where his work included the development of new programming techniques for robotic systems for spraying thermal barrier coatings and the development of an improved laser-based robot velocity measurement system. He holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech.
