Mr. Veldman joined DEI in 2019 after 6 years of management consulting experience, with a focus on software application development. During his time at DEI, he has focused on design and delivery of specialized equipment and tooling for nuclear reactor services. This includes a system designed to remove debris and foreign objects from nuclear fuel assemblies in order to arrest and prevent in-service failures, and an enabling regenerable filtration system, both of which incorporate patented DEI technology.

Mr. Veldman holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. Prior to joining DEI, he worked for Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., where he served as a management consultant to the US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration and the National Science Foundation, with a focus on application development, programming and data analytics. While at MIT, Mr. Veldman also performed research projects involving electromechanical systems, including design, fabrication, measurement and instrumentation.
