As DEI’s Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Mr. Fleming manages DEI’s nuclear safety-related QA program, which is compliant with:
Under Mr. Fleming’s direction, DEI has been consistently recognized for exemplary QA performance in NUPIC and NIAC audits. Mr. Fleming also is responsible for DEI’s laboratory QA program for experimental work, and for the development and implementation of augmented quality programs to meet unique customer requirements.
Mr. Fleming joined DEI in 1990. As a Consulting Engineer, he has performed analysis and experimental work in a wide range of technical areas including: finite element analysis, nuclear industry corrosion issues (e.g., Alloy 600 PWSCC and reactor vessel head wastage), database design consulting, evaluation of SG visual and NDE data, and vibrations and acoustics. Prior to joining DEI, Mr. Fleming worked in the area of manufacturing process/design improvement in the Emissions Control Products group at General Motors.
Mr. Fleming holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
